"URJA 2016" (The Mega Event of Astrology and Ayurveda), a unique programme organized by Jyotish Prangan at Dusshera Ground, Sector - 34, Chandigarh. This is being celebrated every year and Planet Ayurveda was sponsor this time. More than 100, Ayurveda experts, astrologers and natural healers were part of this event and few were honored by honorable governor. It was a great attraction for tri-city and more than 10,000 people visited the Planet Ayurveda stall. Many were interested in pulse diagnosis and prakriti analysis and wanted to seek good ayurvedic guidance from Dr. Vikram Chauhan and Dr. Meenakshi Chauhan.

I am feeling so proud, that today I got a chance to place my thoughts among you all. I have not addressed much public gatherings, mainly in India but abroad I use to give many lectures on Ayurveda. Here I will discuss some of basic principles of Ayurveda. As Director has told that - Ayurveda is formed by combination of two words Ayur and Veda, where Ayur means life and Veda means knowledge. Knowledge of all the actions that are happening in the life can be learned through Ayurveda like how to balance life…Knowledge of Ayurveda tells about the balance of these things like our physical health, mental health, social health, financial health and spiritual health.
Our body is made up of 5 elements Earth (Prithvi), Water (Jala), Air (Vayu), Fire (Agni) and Ether (Akash), and when soul meets these elements, that is life. We come to know all about this through Ayurveda. We can feel all these 5 elements in this Universe and various planets and energy through Vata, Pitta and Kapha in our body. With pulse diagnosis of any person, we can say that this person has either high level of Vata, Pitta or Kapha. Through vata, pitta and Kapha we can diagnose the disease, determine which element has increased level either fire, earth or water and accordingly we check the balance or imbalance of the body and give them Ayurvedic medicine and different stones, even we give them for eating in the form of bhasma.
I would like to tell you that all the powers (energies) you see in the Universe are present in our body. Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space all are present in our body i.e. Pinde sah Brahmande or Brahmande sah Pinde! We can be ailment free by maintaining the balance of all these energies through our diet, lifestyle and thoughts.
Simple principle of Ayurveda is Sarvada Sarva Bhavanam Samanyam Varidhikarnam, Hras Hetuh Vishesh Sh Ch Pravatih Ubhay Sytu! (Sanskrit) i.e. The reason of increase in the severity of any problem is similar things and their reduction is opposite things. Like if we are eating too much sweet things, there will be increase in the earth and water elements which result in Diabetes and to manage Diabetes we have to eat its opposite like bitter. So this is a simple principle - Sarvada Sarva Bhavanam Samanyam Varidhikarnam, Hras Hetuh Vishesh Sh Ch Pravatih Ubhay Sytu! So like this Ayurvedic Medicines are manufactured based on Ayurvedic Principles. Despite Ayurvedic Medicine - Diet, Lifestyle and Thoughts are also very necessary. Thoughts also becomes similar to nature of the body.
In Ayurveda there has been defined 7 types of Body Natures. They depend on the Vata, Pitta and Kapha only. Some people are Vatik, Pittik or Kaphaj. By measuring their pulse, we can determine whether the particular person is Vatik, Pittik or Kaphaj and who is of Davanjak nature. Not only through pulse but by seeing their face, stools, urine etc., seeing their eyes, skin also we can analyze that he/she possesses what kind of Nature. So by this way of analyzing Body Nature, we provide them Ayurvedic Medicines and try to maintain the balance of all 5 elements. With all these I thank you all for listening me.
